The EU's safe with us...

Here's a picture of Martin and me taken at my friend Charles' flatwarming party.

I think we look very dignified, don't you? Every bit the Commission interpreter and EP political secretary.

And to think that some people worry about the competence and seriousness of people working for the EU's institutions. I'm sure that after one look at this photo they'd be completely reassured.
